Job Description:

As an Assembler I, this position works to assemble products by positioning and installing components and subassemblies according to drawings and instructions. Using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment that are needed to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble coolers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assemble products by positioning and installing components and subassemblies according to drawings and instructions
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists
  • gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit
  • fastening parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed cooler components
  • Assist Team Leader or Manager with training new employees
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by reading blueprints and instructions
  • Operates hand and power tools to connect parts
  • Performs tube installation and rolling operations
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements
  • Provides needed material(s) to various workstations and/or locations
  • Loads and unloads trucks, units and parts
  • Operates cut saws, drill presses, and punch press, as needed to fabricate parts and subassemblies
  • Use precision measuring devices to check quality of work
  • Safely rigs structure and material for movement by overhead crane
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work area both during and at the end of each work shift

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of professional experience related to manufacturing preferred
  • Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and calipers required
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints preferred
  • Experience using industrial machines preferred
  • Forklift operation certification preferred
  • Overhead crane experience preferred
  • Demonstrates proficiency in one or more of the following equipment: radial drills, fin tube machinery, large vertical band saw, presses, breaks and shears
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required
