Job Description:

Assembles, installs and repairs sheet metal products, parts and equipment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assembles units, exhaust fans, house doors, damper hoods and makes pan rings according to job order
  • Smooths burred surfaces with files and grinders
  • Lay and attach metal or wood flooring and/or covering
  • Apply primer, paint, and caulk as needed
  • Perform close up requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • three to six months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to understand structural drawings
  • Understanding of 6S
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic reading/writing skills
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Ability to read/understand a tape measure
  • Ability to use a paintbrush
  • Ability to operate air assisted paint gun
  • Knowledge of different types of flooring
  • Knowledge and understanding of metal types and gauging
  • Ability to utilize pneumatic/hydraulic hand tools
  • Ability to operate a forklift
