Working within schools as a Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, or Behaviour Support Mentor, you’ll gain invaluable hands-on experience, develop essential classroom skills, and build the confidence needed to progress into teacher training or a long-term career in education. Job Responsibility

  • Supporting students in lessons and helping them engage positively with their learning
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities, resources, and lesson delivery
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons as a Cover Supervisor when required
  • Providing encouragement and guidance to help students achieve their potential
  • Supporting students with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs
  • Building positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Developing your understanding of classroom practice, behaviour management, and effective teaching strategies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilient, adaptable, and confident working with young people
  • Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
