Job Description:

EdEx are exclusively working with a mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets to find x2 Teaching Assistants (Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist – Teaching Assistant) to work in the schools Speech, Communication and Language provision, supporting children with various needs including Speech and Language, Communication, Social, Autism (Verbal and Non-Verbal) needs & more!

Job Responsibility:

Support various students with wide-ranging needs 1-2-1 and in small groups, inside and outside of the classrooms
Opportunity to take part and lead specialist interventions in
Lego Therapy, Speech and Language, Zones of Regulation & more!
Work closely with specialist Teachers, Therapists & Psychologists to best support primary aged pupils with various needs

Requirements:

A graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 – subject isn’t a barrier, ideally from a reputable university
Good A-Levels and GCSEs – including English at GCSE
Previous experience supporting children, young people or adolescents – Essential
This can be tutoring, nannying, babysitting, volunteering or personal experience!
A genuine passion for supporting young people with barriers to learning
An inquisitive, warm and nurturing personality!
Must be able to speak confidently and calmly – personality is everything in these roles!

Long term contract – at least for an academic year – Sept 25 – July 26 (scope for a permanent contract if interested from Sept 26)
