Job Description:

Aspiring Assistant Psychologist role for a Psychology Graduate to gain hands-on experience prior to further studies or becoming an Assistant Psychologist. Working at an Ofsted 'Outstanding' school in Newham, London, supporting students with special educational needs in a purpose-built, inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

Support students with wide-ranging SEN needs (mild-moderate)
Working within KS1 and KS2 supporting them in their learning and day to day activities
Supporting children with SEN/Additional needs and tailoring approach based on each child's needs
Supporting the teacher throughout the day
Providing academic and emotional support for children making sure they are comfortable and feel supported
Help set high expectations for all pupils
Help develop confident and happy pupils with various SEN / additional needs

Requirements:

Psychology Graduate
1st Class or 2:1 degree
Childcare related experience
Experience working with SEN students (Autism, Speech and Language, Behaviour, Physical Disabilities)
Patient, resilient and calm in difficult situations
Genuine passion for teaching or career within children
