Asphalt Supervisor

• Supporting the Asphalt Plant Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Plant
• Safety will comprise a key element of the role
• Conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections and to demonstrate leadership in safety
• Administrative duties, from writing reports and updating records to procurement and budget control
• Plan and organise work in a time efficient fashion
• Support managing production, troubleshooting technical problems and overseeing planning and coordination with other departments

• Background working with asphalt or a similar industry
• Strong focus on safety and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience as a supervisor
• Ability in pro-actively identifying problems, seeking pertinent data, recognising important information, and identifying possible causes of problems
• Adherence to company policy and/or procedures
• Awareness of other people and environment and own impact on these
• Tolerance for and ability to handle the details and paperwork associated with the job
• Ability to establish efficiently an appropriate course of action for self and/or others to achieve a goal
• Sets high, professional work standard consistently
