Step into your next role and make a difference as a key member of the Barclays Corporate Banking - Asia Trade Operations (ATO) team. You will be responsible for managing client relationships to facilitate Front Office business growth and expansion by providing guidance and support to Corporate Banking clients throughout the facility documentation and trade transaction processing cycle. This position entails close collaboration with Front Office and infrastructure teams (including Trade & Working Capital Operations, Legal, Credit Risk, and Financial Crime) to ensure that the interests of both the client and Barclays are appropriately addressed. Additionally, you may also have to draw on your expertise and knowledge to find creative ways to meet the needs of complex clients.
Job Responsibility:
Support with day-to-day Trade and Working Capital initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution through lending technical expertise
Monitoring the banks Trade and Working Capital operations to ensure that they are conducted in an efficient and effective manner and comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards
Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Trade and Working Capital processes
Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Trade and Working Capital processes
Development and implementation of Trade and Working Capital procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency
Development of reports and presentations on Trade and Working Capital performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders
Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Trade and Working Capital Services
Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Trade and Working Capital efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS)
Strong expertise in trade finance products
Thorough grasp of the full processes involved with each product
Solid understanding of both trade and debt documentation
Ability to distinguish standard from non-standard wording and assess associated risks
Working knowledge of ICC rules for trade products (UCP600, ISBP, URC522, and URR725)
Familiarity with SWIFT messaging
Knowledge of the Corporate Banking cash management would be an advantage
Legal Right to Work in Singapore
