The Industry Regional Business Leader drives World Wide Industry strategy at a regional level. Through a comprehensive understanding of the Retail and Consumer Goods Industry, the market they are operating in and with deep C-Suite relationships they will accelerate cloud growth and unlock the next phase of digital transformation for our customers. The Retail and Consumer Good Regional Business Leader for Asia is the key connection between global industry strategy and local execution. They coach and partner with the local Area Sales Leads on C-Suite engagements to deepen relationships and drive business growth. Leading a team of Industry Advisors with deeper alignment to our customer’s, improving our understanding of their business priorities as it relates to engagement on large transformational opportunities.

Job Responsibility

  • C-Suite Engagement: Inspire customers to digitally transform with the Microsoft platform. Engage with C-Suite executives, be embedded in critical market making opportunities to accelerate Industry progress & potential
  • Industry Strategy: Set the strategy, vision & goals for the region, enabling the Areas to achieve success as aligned to the GTM motion. Build Industry capability as the Senior Industry Expert for the Region
  • Be the connective tissue, activating WW Industry priorities, enabling progress and acceleration. Identify patterns, insights and market inputs to contribute to the next phase of Industry AI transformation
  • Sales Leadership: Manage and coach across organizational boundaries enabling innovative digital transformation and business value. Assess, plan and deploy effectively the allocation of Industry Advisors for the region to meet/exceed annual sales targets
  • Recruit, develop and retain a team of highly experienced professionals with deep Industry & sales expertise, business acumen, and relationship skills

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 8+ years of related experience, including senior sales leadership roles, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, coaching solution sales and account development strategies, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
  • OR equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated deep expertise in the Retail and Consumer Goods industry, with a strong understanding of solutions, technologies, and their application to measurable business outcomes
  • 10+ years of industry specific, quota carrying sales leadership experience within Retail and Consumer Goods
  • Proven ability to balance sales execution and industry leadership, bringing equal strength in commercial performance and sector expertise
  • Strong track record of senior customer engagement, with established credibility and influence at the CXO level
  • Experience leading and scaling businesses across large, complex, and geographically diverse markets
  • Highly effective in matrixed organizations, with the ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority
  • Strategic thinker with a systems mindset, capable of aligning resources, talent, and opportunities to drive long-term growth
  • Demonstrated success in building, developing, and leading diverse, high performing teams
  • High level of cultural awareness, with the ability to operate effectively across markets, countries, and leadership styles in the Asia region

Nice to have

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Economics, OR related field AND 12+ years of related experience, including senior sales leadership roles, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, coaching solution sales and account development strategies, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
