Our client, a major player in the global insurance sector is looking for a senior leader to oversee their claims operations across the asia region. The organization is highly regarded for its stable market presence, diverse portfolio of commercial products and commitment to building a unified regional culture that supports sustainable business growth. In this position as a Asia Claims Leader, you will be expected to lead and mentor a team of Claims Specialists to provide commercially pragmatic and technically superior outcomes. You will oversee the end to end management of complex claims cases, including coverage determination, accurate reserving practices and proactive recovery evaluations.
Job Responsibility
Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of direct reports handling diverse Commercial & Specialty products across Asia
Guide the strategic resolution and proactive investigation of large, complex claims, ensuring accurate coverage determination and quantum assessment
Maintain absolute team-wide adherence to the corporate reserving philosophy for indemnity and expense claims
Collaborate closely with underwriting, actuarial, and senior business units to provide critical insights on portfolio trends, policy wordings, and risk selection
Strengthen relationships with key corporate clients, insureds, and brokers to drive business retention and client satisfaction
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance claims management
Extensive track record in managing claims portfolios within the commercial insurance domain (Casualty, Property, Engineering, Construction, Marine or Financial Lines)
Proven leadership capabilities with experience guiding and developing a professional team (onshore and offshore team)
Strong knowledge of legal frameworks and the ability to apply complex principles to technical dispute resolutions
