ASD Teaching Assistant Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs? We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to work in Lewisham. The ideal ASD Teaching Assistant is someone who is passionate about working with children with special educational needs, has a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Your role as the ASD Teaching Assistant will be to provide support to students with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, and Mental Health Issues in an ‘Outstanding’ primary school. You will assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons adapted to suit individual needs, as well as providing one to one support for students who require it. ASD teaching assistant – Person Specification: Hold a degree from a reputable university at a 1:1 or 2:1 level. Job Responsibility

  • Provide support to students with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, and Mental Health Issues in an ‘Outstanding’ primary school
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons adapted to suit individual needs
  • Provide one to one support for students who require it
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups with children who have ASD
  • Supporting pastoral, SEMH, and academic needs

Requirements
