Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for an ASB & Legal Officer working within the Housing Management team, covering the Staffordshire/Moorlands area. The role plays a key role in improving neighbourhoods and sustaining successful tenancies for customers, aligning with the priorities of Safe Environments and Passionate people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with customers to investigate, determine appropriate actions, manage and resolve cases
  • Work with a wide range of external stakeholders (Local Government, Police, Community Safety and Safeguarding Teams), liaising on behalf of both the customer and the Group
  • Improve neighbourhoods and sustain successful tenancies for customers
  • Manage own diary around customer visits and stakeholder meetings

Requirements:

  • A good level of knowledge of current Housing Legislation and Tenancy Enforcement (Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Disorder)
  • Experience of legal processes i.e. preparation of witness statements, court applications, working in conjunction with legal providers and court attendance
  • Experience of and management of a wide range of community safety services, including investigating, managing and resolving a diverse range of cases including tenancy breaches and Anti-Social Behaviour
  • Collaborative team player
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal
  • Good problem solver
  • Must live within a reasonable distance to the Staffordshire/Moorlands area
  • Must have access to own vehicle
  • Must be based within a reasonable travelling distance of Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington
  • Successful completion of a satisfactory Basic DBS check
