AS400 Developer with RPG position at Inetum, a European leader in digital services. The role involves developing, testing, and implementing applications on the AS/400 platform using RPG and CL languages, collaborating with project teams, and maintaining existing applications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop, test, and implement applications using RPG and CL languages on the AS/400 platform
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications
  • Maintain and optimize existing applications to ensure their performance, reliability, and security
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of software solutions and improve development processes
  • Resolve technical issues and provide user support, ensuring that all problems are promptly and efficiently addressed
  • Document processes, changes made to applications and implemented technical solutions
  • Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to identify and implement innovative solutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in AS400 platform and projects developments using RPG/CL
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, especially DB2 for AS400
  • Experience with ILE RPG and ILE CL, as well as modular development and code reuse
  • Problem-solving with the ability to handle technical issues
  • Ability to encourage communication and collaboration between team members
  • Ability to integrate in a local team as well as in a remote team
  • Attention to detail and very good analytical skills
  • English fluency (oral and written) - mandatory
