As400 Cobol Developer

• Develop, test, and implement applications using Cobol and CLP languages on the AS/400 platform
• analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications
• maintain and optimize existing applications to ensure their performance, reliability, and security
• collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of software solutions and improve development processes
• resolve technical issues and provide user support
• document processes, changes made to applications, and technical solutions implemented
• actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to identify and implement innovative solutions
• monitor job execution
• verify the production and delivery of flows

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in AS400 platform and projects developments using Cobol/CLP
• advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases, especially DB2 for AS400
• knowledge of the MQ framework
• knowledge of the AS-400 scheduler
• knowledge of CQS and Leasing products
• problem-solving with the ability to handle technical issues
• ability to encourage communication and collaboration between team members to meet objectives
• ability to integrate in a local team as well as in a remote team
• attention to detail and very good analytical skills
• fluency in Italian and English (oral and written)
