Requirements:
Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, equipment (e.g., air condition units, exhaust fans, fridge, cold rooms, undercounts, ice machines) replacing air filters, and cleaning coils, deep cleaning of the ice cube machines
Handling of the shift duty assign by shift supervisor
Repairing electrical appliances of the property
Ensure all the electrical panel’s safety device are working properly and service to be done has per schedule
Performs all the duties of an HVAC technician
Performs repairs for the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems in the resort facilities
Respond and attend to guest complaints & repair requests
Communicate with guests or staff to resolve any HVAC maintenance issues
Makes periodic rounds to all area to support equipment and maintains operating log of conditions observed
Responsible for maintaining records of work done, time records and P/M records through the ( preventive maintenance recording transcendent system)
Update the work order log book and inform the Engineering supervisor on duty the status of work done
Reads blue prints, works from manufacturer’s operating manuals or applies knowledge of equipment to devise appropriate repairs
Knowledgeable in methods to do advance troubleshooting of refrigerant system, control system and skilled in reclaiming refrigerant, insuring proper regulatory paperwork on same
Knowledgeable in sheet metal, AC duct fabrication and assembly
Working Knowledge of various Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings
May participate in energy use studies, (energy savings program) comparison, etc. as requested by the Chief engineer
Use the Lockout / Tag-out system before performing any maintenance work
Display basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment when required
When required perform basic repairs and troubleshooting like plumbing, electrical components, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and bulbs, and other guest room items
Plans, recommends, and carries out an approved program on scheduled maintenance
Perform preventive maintenance for all HVAC units and refrigerators Carry out as per scheduled and to be updated transcendent system daily basis
Recharges a variety of air conditioning and refrigeration systems by selecting the appropriate refrigerant
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
Follow up with duty supervisor
keep records of usage of the refrigerant
Responsible for implementation of energy conservation techniques on HVAC systems
Enter and locate work-related information using computers
Communicate each day's activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved hotels communication programs and standards
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
Ensure refrigeration usage monitor and record and update shift supervisor or technical foreman
Make sure attending dune function and picnic setup as request
Maintain engineering area is safe, kept clean and in an orderly manner
Keep close coordination with other engineering staff for smooth operation
Assist in energy conservation program, follow up with banquet staff to save electricity and air conditioning when meetings are over
Comply with hotel and corporate LSOP’s and SOP’s
To attend all safety and fire training and adhere to safety instructions at work to prevent any accidents
Document all work performed and any spares used
Serve as an active member of hotel emergency response team
Carry out any requests asked of you by your immediate supervisor
To ensure that you maintain a high level of hospitality and guest concern
Practice at all times “Empowerment” and do whatever it takes to satisfy the guest
Accident prevention and safety to be aware of all existing departmental job safety analysis and to strive to work in an accident free manner and to create a safe working environment for himself and for others
Maintain high standard of GSS and Brand standard for guest rooms and related areas
