Job Description

Join QIC digital hub's engineering team as an AI Intern and help shape the future of tech in Qatar and the region. You will be an active contributor to our AI-native engineering culture, working alongside data and platform teams to build real tools that reach millions of customers across the ecosystem. Use agentic AI and vibe coding principles to prototype, automate, and accelerate workflows across units.

Job Responsibility

  • Build AI-powered internal tools and prototypes using Microsoft Copilot and Claude Code— turning high-level ideas into working software in days
  • Benchmark and evaluate LLM agents and AI copilots for use in insurance-specific workflows (claims triage, policy issuance, customer onboarding, document processing)
  • Automate repetitive operations across the SDLC — coding, testing, documentation, review — using agentic frameworks
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business teams to identify automation opportunities within the retail insurance and ecosystem platforms
  • Create live demos and proof-of-concepts that showcase AI capabilities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Work with security and compliance teams to ensure AI tools meet Qatar Central Bank and Group IT governance standards

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field
  • Comfortable building with AI tools and iterating fast — you prefer prompting and prototyping over 10-page specs
  • Curious about insurance, fintech, or ecosystem products and how AI can transform them
  • Able to communicate ideas clearly to both engineers and business stakeholders
  • Bonus: experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or automation tools

Nice to have

experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or automation tools

What we offer

  • Extra paid leave
  • Language classes
  • Meeting with experts
  • Professional development ($600/year for additional courses, plus internal workshops)
  • QIC running club
  • Relocation support
  • Remote health insurance (up to $1,500 in dental coverage)
  • Tax consultations
  • Travel discounts (Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Doha hotel partners)
  • USD, EUR, or AED salary payouts
