Job Responsibility:
Plan and Deliver Inspiring Lessons: Teach a diverse range of techniques, including drawing, painting, textiles, sculpture, and digital art
GCSE Portfolio Guidance: Support Year 10 and 11 students in developing their personal projects and preparing for their controlled assessments
Cultivate Critical Thinking: Introduce students to various art movements, historical contexts, and contemporary artists to broaden their artistic horizons
Manage the Studio Environment: Ensure the art room is a safe, organized, and stimulating space where creativity can thrive
Assess and Report: Provide clear, constructive feedback to help students refine their skills and achieve their target grades
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Relevant degree in Fine Art, Design, or a related field
Proven success teaching Art & Design across KS3 and KS4 levels
Ability to demonstrate high-level skills in various media
A professional approach to joining a new school and building immediate rapport with students and the existing staff team
A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one)
