Affinity Partnerships are proud to be working with The PRIDE Academy, a secondary special school dedicated to supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. At The PRIDE Academy, students join us having faced significant challenges in their previous educational experiences. Our mission is to reconnect them with learning and help them progress toward becoming successful, confident adults. We achieve this through a reflective approach, prioritizing restorative practice over punitive measures such as detentions or exclusions. Afinity Workforce Solutions are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher who can inspire and engage students through the power of art. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need support, understanding, and encouragement to thrive.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Art lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Foster creativity and self-expression while supporting emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to implement restorative practices
  • Contribute to a positive, reflective learning environment

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with SEMH students or in a special school setting (desirable)
  • Strong classroom management skills with a restorative approach
  • Passion for art and commitment to helping students succeed
