Job Description

The British College of Gavà (BCG), an IB World School within the global Inspired Education Group, is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Part-Time Art Teacher to join our creative and forward-thinking community from late August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving international school situated in beautiful natural surroundings just south of Barcelona.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Art lessons aligned with school curriculum and international standards
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress accurately and promptly
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
  • Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-curricular projects
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and wider community initiatives
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and staff
  • Engage actively in professional development and reflective practice
  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies, values, and code of conduct

Requirements

  • Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Art (KS3 and/or GCSE Art experience ideal)
  • Ability to set high expectations, plan effectively, and adapt teaching based on feedback
  • Excellent classroom practice, organisation, and commitment to student welfare
  • Confident use of ICT to enhance learning
  • A university degree in a relevant subject and appropriate right to work
  • A passion for education and continuous improvement
