Job Description:

Randstad is seeking a talented and dedicated Art Teacher to join a respected Secondary School in Bermondsey. This is an exciting chance to become a vital part of a forward-thinking department, working with students who are eager to explore a wide range of artistic mediums and techniques.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering high-quality, engaging Art lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE), following the UK curriculum
  • Guiding students in developing artistic abilities, critical thinking, and appreciation for art history and culture
  • Working closely with a skilled and supportive team
  • Full teaching responsibilities including lesson planning, marking, student assessment, and maintaining a positive classroom and studio environment
  • Adhering to all school policies and procedures including those related to safeguarding and student welfare

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Art or a related field
  • proven experience teaching the UK Art curriculum at the secondary level
  • excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
  • adaptable, reliable, and strong communication skills
  • a passion for art and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential
