Job Description

Justteachers Supply Agency is currently seeking a creative and dedicated Art Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Loughborough on a long-term basis. This full-time role is due to begin in September 2025 and is expected to continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. The school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience, and academic success. Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons tailored to meet the needs of all learners
  • Teach Art up to GCSE level, preparing students for examinations and coursework
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively
  • Foster positive relationships with students and manage behaviour consistently
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Implement strategies to support students’ academic and personal development
  • Maintain high expectations for achievement, participation, and behaviour

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting up to GCSE level
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A creative and engaging teaching style
  • Passion for supporting and inspiring young people
  • Two recent education or school-based references
