In addition to the regular Art Director duties, Client Relations Art Directors are also trusted partners to our clients—leading creative conversations, offering expert verbal consultation, and driving high-impact visual solutions. This role functions as a bridge between project management, design teams, and clients, ensuring all necessary creative inputs are aligned and adaptable to shifting client needs. Due to the client-facing nature of this position, the Client Relations Art Director must demonstrate both professionalism and flexibility, responding effectively to urgent or evolving project requirements and video calls.

  • Lead and participate in client-facing video calls and creative consultations as the primary creative voice
  • Lead creative discovery activities, including project exploration and feedback through calls or written communications, early-stage briefs, and internal pre-design planning
  • Build relationships with clients and individual stakeholders within your project portfolio
  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and a clean, distraction-free environment for all client-facing video interactions
  • Conducts thorough quality control reviews of all designer outputs before client delivery, ensuring art direction is followed, brand standards are upheld, and client expectations are met
  • Guide designers through project execution to model high creative standards, ensure client satisfaction, and achieve optimal project outcomes

  • Ensure timely and budget-conscious completion of all assigned projects
  • Update internal time and project tracking software accurately and consistently
  • Meet or exceed individual and team KPI goals, especially those related to client satisfaction, response time, and design quality
  • Actively contribute to daily scrums and leadership meetings to drive alignment toward team progress and project priorities
  • Track project workload and timelines in real-time, staying flexible and responding swiftly to changes or escalations
  • Contribute to project/account/portfolio reviews and brand resource development/maintenance to continually improve team operations
  • Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, sales, training and development personnel, and fellow creatives
  • Perform development responsibilities for the design team, including tasks for internal feedback, contributions to performance reviews, and career coaching
  • Contribute to regional or team events, fostering a strong and connected creative culture
  • Lead and motivate others by setting a good example through best practices and professional conduct
