We are looking for an ambitious & creative Art Director who enjoys working in an energetic environment and loves the challenge of discovering what makes consumers “click”. You will collaborate with a design-savvy team to devise an overall concept & translate marketing and branding strategies into innovative and impressive campaigns that stimulate audiences for our award-winning British skincare brand.
Job Responsibility:
Generate clear ideas and concepts in collaboration with the marketing team
Produce moodboards, mockups and storyboards to visualise ideas
Concept, plan & art direct stills and video shoots end-to-end, with support from the production and project management teams
Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
Collaborate with the rest of the creative team across different types of media
Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines
Present concepts and ideas to the wider team, and on occasion senior stakeholders
Stay on top of latest trends within the luxury beauty, fashion and lifestyle space, and maintain best practices
Be a brand guardian and ensure all content produced is adhering to the wider visual identity of the ELEMIS brand
Ensure all duties carried out and actions completed in every aspect of your role, contribute to the short and long-term Sustainability Goals set-forth by the ELEMIS - Climate, Biodiversity & People Pillars
Requirements:
Experience as Art Director ideally in Beauty, Luxury or Fashion, covering both stills and video production, and social media content
Best practice pre- and post-production knowledge with significant experience directing retouchers and video editors to achieve final desired outputs
Hands on experience with a variety of design disciplines – pairing typography with visuals, colour theory, social media, digital design, print design and image selection
Proficient use of Figma, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
A visually strong portfolio, demonstrating a clear understanding of visual design principles, harmonies between imagery and type, with focus on projects where the candidate has led art direction end-to-end
Have an open minded and curious personality, with a desire to improve and grow wherever possible
A great team player, with the ability to incorporate feedback
A strong and clear communicator with confident presentation skills
Nice to have:
Motion, animation and packaging design a bonus
Premiere Pro and After Effects a bonus
