We are looking for a visionary Art Director to shape the visual direction of our brand and campaigns. This role combines strategic thinking, overseeing design teams with conceptualizing bold ideas and ensuring that all visual content aligns with our brand identity and marketing objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of high-impact work and the ability to inspire and guide creative teams. This role requires a balance of creative thinking, artistic sensibility, and hands-on design skills. You will primarily ideate, design, and roll out design projects within the Design Hotels brand as well as corporate identity projects for our hotels. You will be part of the Design Hotels Creative Team, taking ownership of projects and executing these independently, as well as in collaboration with teammates. You love design, think conceptually, and are passionate about the details. This position is primarily focused on art direction and brand identity design projects, not art direction for photography and film.
Job Responsibility:
Define and drive the visual strategy for campaigns, branding, and communications across all channels
Lead, mentor, and inspire designers, illustrators, and other creative professionals to produce high-quality work
Collaborate with marketing, content, and product teams to translate concepts into compelling visual narratives
Oversee the creative process from concept through final execution, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with brand guidelines
Review and approve all creative output, providing guidance and constructive feedback
Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations to maintain a competitive edge
Present creative concepts and campaigns to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively
Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven creative environment
Ideate, design, and roll out design projects within the Design Hotels brand as well as corporate identity projects for our hotels
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field
5+ years of experience in design or creative roles
Proven portfolio showcasing strong conceptual thinking, branding, and multi-platform campaigns
Strong visual storytelling and conceptual abilities
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other design/visual tools
Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and team management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strategic thinking with the ability to align creative output with business objectives
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality
Innovative, collaborative, and forward-thinking mindset
Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have:
Knowledge of motion graphics, UI/UX design, photography, and video production
additional languages are a plus
