The Art and Dance Teacher will foster creativity, confidence, and expressive skills in young learners across the Early Learning School and Junior Prep phases. The successful candidate will create a nurturing classroom environment, deliver engaging lessons, and support each child’s artistic and developmental journey.
Job Responsibility:
Plan, prepare and deliver creative, engaging Art and Dance lessons
Establish a warm, supportive and stimulating learning environment
Demonstrate professionalism in punctuality, behaviour, work standards and student expectations
Reflect on teaching practice and engage in ongoing professional development
Produce high-quality learning materials and resources
Maintain effective communication with parents, responding within 24 hours
Teach extra lessons when required on two afternoons per week
Attend school events and special occasions as directed
Set and mark assessments and provide constructive feedback
Write high-quality report comments
Undertake any additional duties as assigned by school leadership
Requirements:
A university degree in a relevant subject and certified teaching status
At least 3 years’ experience teaching in an Early Learning School
Confidence integrating ICT into teaching practice
Passion for Art and Dance education and experience working with very young learners
Strong organisational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
A positive, adaptable approach and excellent classroom practice
Genuine care for student wellbeing and development
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and a Teaching Assistant
