Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required
Three or more years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience are required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Job Responsibility

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense industry location
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions
Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and support site rules related to controlled entry, vehicle activity, and sensitive work areas
Support emergency protocols, assist with evacuations and/or shelter procedures when needed, and communicate clearly with site contacts and first responders during security-related events

Job Responsibility

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate airport and/or government authorities and completing required reports
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals, curbside areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations

Assist with access control by monitoring restricted-entry points, checking identification and/or credentials when assigned, and directing visitors to the appropriate areas
Monitor for irregular activity such as unattended items, suspicious behavior, and/or unauthorized access attempts, and communicate observations promptly via radio and/or telephone
