Job Description:

As a School Security Officer at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community.

Job Responsibility:

Conducting Regular Patrols of the School Campus
Expertly De-escalating High-Stress Situations
Maintaining Constant Situational Awareness
Ensuring the Safety of Students, Staff, and Visitors
Responding Swiftly and Appropriately to Emergencies
Documenting and Reporting Incidents

Requirements:

21 years of age or older
high school diploma or GED
pass required comprehensive background check
pass required psychological exam
pass pre-employment drug screen
successful completion of school security officer academy
eligible to legally use a firearm
previous firearm experience
willing to travel to Fort Collins for an interview and at least 80 hours worth of training
able to work the posted hours without modification
wear required uniform throughout the entire duration of your shift
able to train and become certified to use an approved firearm
ability to use/maintain/operate/manipulate firearm, handcuffs, and other issued gear
able to stand for up to eight hours at a time
able to pass company basic hand-to-hand course
able to walk around and up and down stairs frequently throughout your shift
able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
able to wear issued gear belt for the entire duration of your assigned shift

experience in customer service, conflict intervention, and security or military service

situational awareness

de-escalation and conflict management skills
excellent communication skills
confidence working solitary and with a team
proficiency with smart phones and online scheduling software
physical ability to perform work related tasks
ability to use proper English and grammar when filling out reports and other required paperwork
