The Corporation of the City of North Bay (“the City”) is accepting applications for the position of Arena Office Staff / Skate Patrol staff for Arenas. Successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with the operation of various events and activities held at the Arenas.
Job Responsibility
Reception, cashier and office duties
Provide information in person and on phone to public regarding arena activities and events
Set up cash drawers, taking payments, balancing cash
Prepare dressing room assignment sheets
Maintain accuracy of dressing room boards
Control the lending of dressing room keys and arena time clocks
Providing on-ice supervision for public skating sessions and shinny hockey
Ensuring safety of participants
Verifying payment
Enforcing policies and rules
Requirements
Current First Aid and CPR training
Cash handling experience
Good skating ability (experience playing hockey or figure skating is an asset)
Customer service experience required
Clear and pleasant manner, ability to work in a busy office environment
Superior verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision, occasionally in a stressful environment
Competent with computers and Office software
