Area Vice President of Operations – Personal Care Services (Connecticut). Home Care | Growth-Focused | Sales-Driven Leadership Role. Elara Caring is looking for a dynamic Area Vice President of Operations to lead and grow our Personal Care Services (PCS) business across Connecticut. This is not a desk job — this is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role for someone who wants to own market growth, drive revenue, and build a high-performing operation in a competitive landscape.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive market growth across Connecticut with a strong focus on private pay and consumer-directed care
  • Serve as the face of Elara Caring Personal Care Services in the market, building strong relationships with referral partners, payers, and community leaders
  • Lead day-to-day operations while owning and executing the market growth strategy for PCS in Connecticut
  • Build, lead, and inspire high-performing clinical and operational teams
  • Partner closely with sales, recruitment, and clinical leadership to expand capacity and ensure coverage
  • Develop and execute market-specific growth initiatives that deliver measurable results
  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on, boots-on-the-ground execution
  • Drive performance across revenue, margin, utilization, and service delivery
  • Build and strengthen referral pipelines and community partnerships
  • Use data, accountability, and direct leadership to drive results
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, payer, and accreditation standards
  • Foster a culture of urgency, ownership, accountability, and excellence

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in home care or Personal Care Services (private pay & consumer-directed care strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and operations
  • Proven success growing a market or service line
  • Strong understanding of PCS regulations and reimbursement models
  • Sales-minded, relationship-driven, and community-focused
  • Hands-on leader who isn’t afraid to jump in and get things done
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and innovation

  • Oversee staffing models, scheduling, and coverage plans for AAs, CRNAs and anesthesiologists
  • Monitor and improve key performance metrics related to efficiency, patient throughput, resource utilization, and others in alignment to organizational objective achievement
  • Collaborate with Perioperative, Facility, and Surgery service line leadership to promote optimal operating room efficiency with alignment to best practices and Divisional standards
  • Collaborate with Area Presidents, Hospital Leaders, CMOs, and CNOs to ensure consistent standards and practices are maintained and implemented
  • Represent Anesthesia services in Medical Staff meetings and Divisional or Enterprise Councils as required
  • Works closely and effectively with their administrative dyad partner in all duties
