Job Description:

The Area Specification Manager for the South East region will be instrumental in promoting and securing specifications for a diverse range of electrical products. This role requires a strategic approach to business development and client management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Secure product specifications with key players such as house builders and local authorities
  • Focus on high-volume and innovative products like EV chargers and LED downlights
  • Collaborate on pricing and rebate strategies with new specifiers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential clients
  • Communicate specifications to the management team
  • Coordinate with technical departments on product performance
  • Engage in sales meetings and provide performance reports
  • Manage customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business

Requirements:

  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Strong communication and literacy skills
  • Proven sales or specification experience in the electrical product sector
  • Clean driving license
  • Ability to work independently and meet targets
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Familiarity with the South East region's market and potential clients
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software
