The Area Sales Specialist – Multi-State Travel role provides hands-on sales and occupancy support across Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin communities. This position partners closely with Regional Directors and Community Executive Directors to drive census growth during leadership vacancies, transitions, or periods of occupancy challenge. This is a high-visibility, field-based role requiring frequent travel between assigned communities. Assignments vary in duration and are adjusted based on business need.
Job Responsibility:
Drive census growth by providing on-site sales leadership and execution at assigned communities
Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales productivity, inquiry conversion, and move-in goals
Manage and optimize CRM and lead databases, ensuring accurate data entry, reporting, and trend analysis
Convert inbound inquiries into qualified appointments and conduct high-quality tours for prospects and families
Execute full-cycle sales activities, including phone, email, and in-person follow-up throughout the buyer journey
Provide timely and accurate pricing, incentives, and deposit information to Executive Directors and Business Office teams
Maintain daily sales activity reporting, inquiry triage, and forecast updates for community and regional leadership
Support marketing initiatives through approved outreach materials, events, luncheons, and group tours
Conduct off-site visits with prospects in homes, hospitals, and healthcare facilities as needed
Coordinate move-in processes with department leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and resident readiness
Monitor room inventory, readiness, and availability on a weekly basis
Analyze competitive market conditions and incorporate insights into pricing and sales strategy
Uphold confidentiality standards and promote a professional, collaborative team environment
Ensure strong first impressions through community presentation, responsiveness, and professionalism
Perform additional duties as assigned by regional leadership
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
Minimum 3 years of senior living sales experience
At least 3 years of multi-community or regional sales leadership experience, including supervisory responsibility
Proven ability to travel frequently across OH, IL, IN, and WI
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to quickly integrate into diverse community environments and lead through influence
