As an Area Sales Manager (across Exeter, Plymouth, Devon, Taunton and Cornwall), you’ll play a key role in driving sales growth across your territory by building strong relationships with trade customers, contractors and merchants. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their needs, identify opportunities, and deliver the right solutions from Crown Paints’ product portfolio.
Job Responsibility:
Grow sales by developing new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships
Manage and develop trade accounts to increase loyalty and long-term partnership value
Identify leads, negotiate commercial agreements, and convert opportunities into profitable business
Provide expert product advice and tailored solutions to customers across the construction and trade sector
Work collaboratively with marketing, technical, and operational teams to deliver an excellent customer experience
Requirements:
Experience in a Sales role - ideally field based experience but happy with sales experience from various backgrounds including retail and key accounts
An understanding and/or passion of our industry (paint, coatings, construction, or a related industry)
Confident communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and effectively manage your own sales territory
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good IT skills including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Full driving license and willingness to travel within the region
