We’re looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead a high-performing region within one of the UK’s most recognisable food retail brands. This Area Manager role is a key leadership position focused on driving profitable sales growth, operational excellence and building strong, capable teams. It’s ideally suited to a proven multi-site leader from supermarkets, convenience or food retail, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Job Responsibility:
Delivering profitable sales growth across your area through strong execution and clear commercial focus
Creating and implementing area business plans, using regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement
Leading Store Managers to deliver high standards in availability, merchandising, customer experience and store operations
Driving consistency in processes, policies and ways of working to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Using data and insight to identify trends, address root causes and implement practical solutions
Building a strong customer-focused culture, ensuring stores reflect local needs and deliver a great shopping experience
Taking ownership of key people metrics including labour, absence and retention across your area
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Area Manager or in a multi-site leadership role within food retail, supermarkets or convenience
Strong commercial awareness, with experience delivering sales, profit and cost targets
A deep understanding of high-volume retail operations, including availability, replenishment and store standards
A hands-on leader who can coach, challenge and develop Store Managers effectively
Experience building talent pipelines and developing future leaders
Able to identify root causes, simplify processes and drive practical improvements
Resilient, adaptable and comfortable operating with pace and urgency
