Job Description

This Area Manager role will be based from our Fareham Office and cover a number of contracts that sit within our Social Housing Division. The role is field-based across the Peterborough area, with a blend of home working, client meetings, and time spent with teams on site.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of day-to-day operational delivery across multiple sites
  • Ensure teams provide a consistently high standard of service
  • Be the first point of escalation for clients and colleagues
  • Build strong relationships and resolve issues swiftly
  • Lead, coach, and support Supervisors and front-line teams
  • Carry out regular site visits, audits, and performance reviews
  • Manage service performance and track missed visits
  • Oversee payroll accuracy
  • Maintain essential operational documentation
  • Support the mobilisation of new contracts
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies and championing innovation

Requirements

  • Experienced operational leader
  • Background in facilities management, cleaning, housing, or similar sector
  • Confident managing multiple sites and geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong communication and trust-building skills
  • Solutions-focused mindset
  • Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage performance, coach teams, and maintain client relationships
  • Commercially aware
  • Confident with reporting systems
  • Committed to delivering safe, compliant, high-quality services
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel between sites
