Randstad has been engaged to recruit an upcoming key vacancy for our client, who are located in Melbourne's Northern suburbs. Our client is a market leading International Logistics and Transport company, looking for an experienced Area Manager/Supervisor to join their team at their Distribution facility in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an environment where ongoing development is highly encouraged. You will play a vital role in supporting the Area Managers and Site Director to meet the daily demands and ensuring that productivity of all teams are met to set standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Capacity Management & Liaison with Portfolio, Claims & Quality Management, DOT delivery
  • Manage activities for cycle counts, correct stock variances or inaccuracies
  • Foster and enhance a culture that takes pride in its performance, delivery and work environment and seeks to continually improve
  • Develop and contribute to 'best in class' processes within the facility
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal & external customers to ensure high standards of service delivery
  • Supervision of normal operational activities from receiving to dispatch and everything in between
  • Ensure a high level of compliance with OH&S requirements and enhance an organised and clean working environment

Requirements:

  • Experience in leadership capacity within Logistics, Warehouse or distribution environment
  • Experience managing a team of 5-10
  • conducting toolbox meeting and driving performance
  • formal qualifications in relevant field would be preferred but not essential
