Job Description

Under general supervision, the Area Manager, Northern Region is responsible for driving sales growth and strengthening Valvoline's market presence across the assigned territory, covering the provinces of Kamphaeng Phet, Tak, and Sukhothai, Thailand. The role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and increasing product penetration across the Automotive Service Centre, Independent Workshop (IWS), Retail, and Wholesale channels. The Area Manager executes sales strategies, promotional initiatives, and customer-focused programs that support sustainable business growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Working closely with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, training, and customer support functions, this role contributes to the successful onboarding of new customers and the achievement of regional sales objectives. Success in this role will be measured by new customer acquisition, sales volume growth, gross profit performance, market share expansion, and effective territory management.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers across the assigned territory to drive customer retention, loyalty, and long-term business growth
  • Identify opportunities to increase product penetration and maximize sales within existing accounts
  • Prospect, qualify, and convert new business opportunities through territory mapping, lead generation, networking, and cold calling activities
  • Expand Valvoline's customer base by securing new accounts and increasing market coverage
  • Execute sales plans, marketing campaigns, and promotional programs to achieve territory sales targets and business objectives
  • Monitor account performance and implement action plans to drive profitable growth
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, customer trends, and market developments to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage
  • Provide regular market feedback and customer insights to support business decision-making
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales reports, and territory plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective customer onboarding, issue resolution, and service delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • 2+ years of sales experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive regularly within the assigned territory
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across provinces
  • Ability to communicate in English is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
