Area Maintenance Specialist

• Perform regular preventative and unscheduled/emergency maintenance on equipment in the production area
• Keep equipment parts inventory list and order replacement parts
• Detect and notify supervisor of equipment issues
• Work with outside vendors as necessary
• Perform maintenance of building and grounds
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Perform all duties in compliance with USDA or FDA, OSHA and state and local regulations and company policies

• High School diploma or GED
• 5 + years manufacturing experience with strong skills in equipment repair and maintenance
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess knowledge of machine repair, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting and janitorial skills
• Required to be familiar with and use hand tools and power tools
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
• Ability to comprehend verbal instructions and read and interpret machine specs, instruction manuals and product labels
• Be reliable and dependable
• available to work Monday through Friday and occasionally Saturday or Sunday
• Have a high level of job motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision

A two-year degree or completion of a program in mechanical or industrial maintenance a plus
