If you’re as passionate as we are about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, then this may be the job for you as we seek a new Area Director to lead our amazing teams across the South of England. As someone who prioritises our people and the quality of the services we provide, this role will oversee a number of services across the Consensus portfolio. We’re looking for an action-oriented and customer-focused Area Director who can lead the culture, direction, and performance of the Area.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing strong leadership to Service Managers and Teams, developing an environment that supports them to thrive and deliver their best
  • To be a visible and accessible leader in your services ensuring a quality, people and commercial focus including oversite of forensic services
  • Delivering the Area’s financial and growth targets, and the People and Quality KPI’s
  • Working with the Managing Director and finance team to develop the annual budget and Supporting Service Managers in ensuring services are safely staffed and optimally aligned to their budget
  • Ensuring the Service environments, both inside and out, are appropriately and adequately maintained

Requirements:

  • Plenty of experience working with those with Learning Disabilities or complex behaviours, forensic cohorts and legal frameworks
  • Significant experience working as a Manager within the Learning Disability sector, preferably Supported Living and/or Residential Care
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience of working closely with the CQC and Local Authorities and other relevant MDT’s
  • Confident, flexible and efficient – happy to work on a shift basis and, where required, be on call
