The Horniman Archivist manages the Horniman Archive, which contains records related to the Horniman’s history and the Horniman’s collections, providing access and engagement to the archive. The Archive and Archivist support the Horniman’s exhibition, research and engagement activities.
Job Responsibility:

support the Horniman’s exhibition, research and engagement activities
influence what enters the archive and what is prioritised for presentation
care for the physical and digital archive, preserving it and protecting it both for the future and in line with data protection requirements
support researchers, staff and the wider public in accessing the archive
support volunteers
play a critical role in advising the Horniman on Records Management and Archival best practice
Requirements:
graduate qualification in a Library and Information Science, Records Management or Archival related subject, or equivalent working experience in a knowledge organisation setting
