Under the general supervision of the Curatorial Supervisor of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum, the Archival Digitization Specialist position has overall responsibility for the digitization and creation of corresponding metadata for fully processed images from the Post-Civil War to World War I era in the holdings of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum archives.

Requirements:
Basic photography (taking pictures, using camera equipment, etc.)
Analyzing written content and render analysis in written format
Excellent verbal and written communication
National standards and practices that govern the cataloging of primary source materials and descriptive content standards from a variety of disciplines in the creation of descriptive content (e.g., MARC21 format, Encoded Archival Description, Encoded Archival Content, Dublin Core, LC name and subject authorities, Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, Describing Archives, etc.)
Computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications
Nice to have:
Archival principles and practices
Graphic, audio, and moving image formats and the metadata requirements for their access and preservation
