Job Description:

We are looking to recruit a motivated Architectural Technologist / Technical Architect to join a large multidisciplinary design team based in Manchester city centre. The role will focus on the architectural design and delivery of a major industrial / manufacturing facility in the North West. This is a contract appointment working as part of a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work as part of an integrated project team delivering technically complex buildings from concept through to detailed design, with a particular focus on RIBA Stages 2-4
  • Take ownership of defined packages
  • Play a key role in coordination across disciplines
  • Work closely with Architects, Technologists, Engineers, Interior Designers and Process Engineers
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-profile, technically demanding projects

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the architectural design process from concept to detailed design
  • Proven experience working within multi-disciplinary teams, including coordination, interface resolution and clash management
  • Ability to produce and review detailed technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience advising on materials, systems and performance-based design solutions
  • Proficiency using NBS for specifications
  • Advanced Revit capability, delivering projects to BIM Level 2
  • Experience with collaboration and coordination tools such as Navisworks, including model federation, clash detection and reporting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
  • Organised, detail-focused and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance prior to commencement
  • Must be willing to undergo vetting through UK Security Vetting (UKSV)
  • Typically demonstrate 5+ years UK residency
