We are looking to recruit a motivated Architectural Technologist / Technical Architect to join a large multidisciplinary design team based in Manchester city centre. The role will focus on the architectural design and delivery of a major industrial / manufacturing facility in the North West. This is a contract appointment working as part of a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
Job Responsibility:
Work as part of an integrated project team delivering technically complex buildings from concept through to detailed design, with a particular focus on RIBA Stages 2-4
Take ownership of defined packages
Play a key role in coordination across disciplines
Work closely with Architects, Technologists, Engineers, Interior Designers and Process Engineers
Contribute to the delivery of high-profile, technically demanding projects
Requirements:
Strong understanding of the architectural design process from concept to detailed design
Proven experience working within multi-disciplinary teams, including coordination, interface resolution and clash management
Ability to produce and review detailed technical drawings and specifications
Experience advising on materials, systems and performance-based design solutions
Proficiency using NBS for specifications
Advanced Revit capability, delivering projects to BIM Level 2
Experience with collaboration and coordination tools such as Navisworks, including model federation, clash detection and reporting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Organised, detail-focused and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach
Ability to obtain SC clearance prior to commencement
Must be willing to undergo vetting through UK Security Vetting (UKSV)
Typically demonstrate 5+ years UK residency
Nice to have:

Experience delivering large-scale industrial or complex technical buildings
