Job Description

Anderselite are currently working with a reputable Architectural consultancy of whom are seeking a Graduate/ Junior level Architectural Technician on a Permanent basis. As an Architectural Technician, you will play a crucial role in their architectural projects, contributing your expertise and technical proficiency to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality designs.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with the architectural team to create detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications for residential projects
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and codes of practice throughout the design process
  • Undertake the preparation of construction drawings, detailing elements such as floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
  • Work closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers, to achieve project objectives
  • Utilize Revit software extensively to model and produce accurate and detailed architectural drawings

Requirements

  • Relevant Architectural and Design or HND/HNC Qualification
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work semi-remotely with occasional on-site visits to Bristol
  • Some background in practice
  • Proficiency with Revit software

  • Convert approved planning drawings into comprehensive technical working drawing packages
  • Produce detailed construction drawings and technical details at all scales
  • Prepare joinery, masonry, and bespoke construction details for planning and construction purposes
  • Compile tender packages including schedules, specifications, and supporting documentation
  • Prepare Building Regulations notes and assist in coordinating project delivery
  • Attend site visits, contractor meetings, and client meetings as required
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure projects are delivered accurately and in line with the design vision
  • Support the management of project programmes, budgets, and timelines
  • Maintain accurate timesheets and assist with project invoicing information where necessary
