Architectural interns will join our creative studio environment for a full-time, paid internship opportunity from Monday, June 8 – Friday, August 14. Interns will be paid $10,000 for the duration of the 10-week internship. This position is located at the Grimshaw New York studio. All submissions must include a resume, portfolio with current work samples, as well a list of three academic or professional references. The application will close on Friday, February 27. Applicants will be notified of the company's selection decision by Friday, April 17.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the project team during the design phases with design development, precedent research and graphic production
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of the design philosophy of projects and relating assigned tasks to that philosophy
  • Contribute to the preparation of design and construction documents and solutions to general architectural problems
  • Work with project team members to coordinate details and dimensions while being watchful of quality issues and demonstrating attention to detail
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs

Requirements

  • Work authorized in the U.S. for the duration of the internship (visa sponsorship is not available for this program)
  • Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or architectural degree program, with three years of undergraduate experience completed by June 2026
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling using Rhinoceros/Grasshopper
  • Basic knowledge of Revit
  • Ability to create presentation graphics in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate proficiency in graphic presentation, physical model building and an ability to communicate ideas efficiently through hand sketching a plus
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for architecture with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use digital tools to develop compelling and functional architectural solutions to complex design problems
  • Project team collaboration is a must
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner
