Job Description:

We have an exciting internship opportunity for an Architectural Design Intern. Join our team of architectural professionals and contribute to a fast-paced retail design program. As an intern, you will be responsible for producing technical documentation and effectively communicating project progress to the Project Manager and other team members. Together, we strive to surpass client expectations and create exceptional projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with team to pick up redlines or produce architectural documentation
  • Provide project team coordinator for incorporating design intent into the construction documentation
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and collaborate with project managers and job captains
  • Coordinate with Project Architect for sign/seal of construction document sets for permit

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a professional degree in Architecture and interest in Commercial Real Estate is a plus
  • Candidate should have completed at least 3rd year of undergraduate program or 2nd year of master’s program
  • Understanding of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques
  • Understanding of on construction document preparation
  • Proficient in AutoCad, REVIT, Sketchup and other 3D modeling software preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Adobe (create, view, comment on PDF)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn is a must
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent thinking and work abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple individuals and meet deadlines
  • Proactive and self-motivated mindset
  • Highly energetic and able to work independently
  • Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and presentation skills
  • Permanent US work authorization required

Nice to have:

  • Proficient in AutoCad, REVIT, Sketchup and other 3D modeling software
  • Interest in Commercial Real Estate
