RDG is expanding our College & University market and we’re looking for a market leader with a focus on project management, client relationships and business development to join our team. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong network in the college and university market, a passion for higher education design and the ability to manage teams and projects at a strategic level. In this role, you’ll spearhead marketing and business development efforts for RDG’s College & University market, forging strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities. This dual focus on client engagement and market expansion offers a unique opportunity to influence both our projects and our practice at a fundamental level.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the higher education market leader, establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
Oversee project management efforts, ensuring quality, efficiency and strategic alignment with institutional goals
Lead business development initiatives, identifying opportunities and collaborating with RDG’s marketing team to pursue new work
Work closely with RDG’s College & University team to develop long-term market strategies
Mentor and support staff in professional development and project execution
Serve as a resource for our team, helping to grow RDG's brand and market share
Requirements:
15+ years of architectural experience, including leadership in higher education design
Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects successfully
Established relationships with colleges and universities
Entrepreneurial mindset—someone eager to grow RDG’s presence and impact in the market
Licensed architect (or ability to obtain licensure)
Possess strong leadership, written and verbal skills
Critical thinking collaborator with excellent soft skills, relationship and executing strengths
Sound design communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated history of building long-term relationships with team members and clients
