The Architect, with some supervision from the Manager of Architecture, directs the development of the design work; leads in the production of technical drawings and specifications; coordinates the related work of the other disciplines; and assumes in-house construction administration duties on projects of moderate to large size and complexity.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate and run moderate to large, complex projects
Establish factual parameters of design work
Formulate project work plan and mini-sheet sets
Assume primary responsibility for daily activities of architectural project team
Provide mentorship to less experienced staff
Accurately produce schematic design, design development and construction documents
Assist Project Manager in adhering to project schedule and budget
Advise Manager of Architecture on staffing requirements
Initiate and orchestrate work of entire project team
Assume responsibility for coordination of all disciplines and quality control
Prepare written portions of addenda and bulletins
Perform in-house construction administration duties
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of company standards
Maintain and improve office architectural standards
Familiar with Revit model creation and project set-up
Familiar with laser scanning and point clouds
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
NCARB AXP completion required
10+ years related architecture experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
Familiar with BIM360
Familiar with point cloud software (e.g. Autodesk Recap)
