Architect

• Developing construction details that comply with the design intent and project budget
• Preparing complete concise design and construction drawings
• Researching materials for specific projects
• Quality Control review of construction documents for completeness including coordinating details and dimensions
• Assist in Construction Administration submittal reviews and RFI’s
• Conduct existing conditions survey
• Consults with client to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time
• Plans layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval
• Calculates costs and time schedules for proposed work
• Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors
• Checks all technical work for accuracy and recommends changes to clients as required
• Administers construction contracts and conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans
• Prepares project designs and plans using computer assisted design software and equipment
• Directs activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents and develops technical competence of project team member
• Maintain liaison with the client after project completion

• Professional degree from a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB)-accredited program
• 10 to 14 years’ experience in Architecture with practicing knowledge of techniques, theories and a broad knowledge of precedents, skill in application of architectural principles
• Proficiency with current tools of the trade (AutoCAD/Revit) in accordance with needs of the company
• ability to interpret sketches, plans, specifications and to analyze and solve drafting problems
• Understanding of current building, life safety and accessibility code requirements
• Architect Registration
• Must be able to work in the United States
