You are a licensed Architect with 15+ years of post-degree experience. You have a broad understanding of architectural design, construction, and safety. You are already an expert. Robson Forensic will train you to be a forensic expert. As an Architecture Expert, you will investigate architectural incidents; analyze documents and on-site conditions to determine the facts and issues at hand; write clear, scientifically sound reports; provide expert testimony. You will delve into the why behind incidents, critically assessing decision-making, operational procedures, and the standard of care. It is extremely challenging work, but also an intellectually thrilling and rewarding experience. Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
Education: B.S. or higher in Architecture and an active state licensure in good standing
Certification: Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI), or willing to become certified
Experience: 15+ years of post-degree experience, designing or working on buildings with a variety of Use Groups - Assembly, Business, Educational, Mercantile, Industrial, Institutional, Factory, and Residential, mixed-use
experience with code evaluation, specification writing and/or diagnosing building defects and design analysis
proven experience in construction, demonstrated through contract administration, construction management, design/build, and/or general contracting
Additional Experience a Plus: Property management & BIM experience a plus
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of building safety and construction technology
Skills: Excellent technical & analytical skills
strong written & verbal communication skills
Ability: Safely climb/navigate ladders, roofs, scaffolding, etc. for inspection activities
Work Style: Approximately 20% travel for inspections
the remainder is focused on analysis and report drafting, working independently and as part of a collaborative team
Prior forensic experience is not required
