Job Description

10Pearls is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect Data Quality Specialist with 14+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Quality Management within the Banking & Financial services industry and possess excellent communication skills. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across the organization and is required to work closely with cross functional teams to ensure data integrity and quality is maintained.

Job Responsibility

  • Define, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide data quality policies, standards, and procedures aligned with the bank's data governance framework
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and establish data quality rules and controls
  • Drive data quality initiatives across Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury, International Banking, and support/control functions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, and industry best practices for data quality
  • Design and implement data quality measurement frameworks covering accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and validity
  • Develop and maintain data quality dashboards, scorecards, and reporting mechanisms to monitor data health and quality trends
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective action plans
  • Partner with technology teams to implement automated data quality controls, validation checks, and monitoring solutions
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for data quality, providing guidance across business, risk, finance, compliance, and technology teams
  • Work closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Engineers, and business users to enforce data quality standards and governance practices
  • Support business units in embedding data quality requirements into operational processes and business workflows
  • Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to promote data quality best practices across the organization
  • Collaborate with technology teams to integrate data quality tools into the enterprise data architecture
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement modern data quality technologies, including AI/ML-driven solutions for data profiling and anomaly detection
  • Lead the modernization of data quality platforms by supporting migration to tools such as Informatica DEQ, Cloudera, Power BI, and related technologies
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to analyze large datasets and improve data quality monitoring and reporting
  • Continuously identify opportunities for technology enhancements and automation to improve data quality processes
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage data quality initiatives to ensure timely delivery of strategic objectives
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive collaboration
  • Provide guidance and support to team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Take ownership of key deliverables, ensuring accountability for successful execution and continuous improvement
  • Develop and execute a strategic data quality roadmap aligned with the bank's business objectives and digital transformation initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
  • A Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data governance & Data quality management within the Banking & Financial services industry with overall experience of 14+ yrs in banking and data
  • Strong understanding of banking processes, systems, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong knowledge of DAMA DMBOK, BCBS 239, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements related to data quality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in Data quality tools and technologies preferably Informatica Data Engineering Quality (DEQ), Enterprise Data Catalog, AXON etc.
  • Experience and working knowledge on tools used for Data analytics and dashboard reporting preferably, Power BI, Qlik
  • Should have managed successful execution of minimum 2-3 large engagements into production go live with good project oversight and decision-making skills
  • Hands on experience analyzing data and solving complex queries using SQL, python
  • Proficient in Data Management and Data Governance concepts preferably within Banking industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-starter and should be good at taking initiatives and be able to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
