Job Description

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is working with a growing organization to identify an experienced AR/AP Manager in the New York City area. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who excels in accounts receivable, billing, collections, and process improvement within a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including billing, collections, account reconciliations, and customer account maintenance
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice review, approvals, and payment coordination
  • Monitor aging reports, follow up on outstanding balances, and help improve cash collection efforts
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer inquiries
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, customer service, and sales to address account-related matters
  • Prepare AR aging, collections, and cash flow reports for management
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure financial records are up to date
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing, collections, and AP processes, increasing efficiency and strengthening internal controls
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or a related accounting function
  • Experience managing customer accounts, aging reports, and collections activities
  • Strong understanding of billing systems and financial processes
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Excel and accounting or ERP systems

Nice to have

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Experience with billing or revenue management systems
  • Telecommunications, technology, subscription-based, or recurring revenue industry experience
