We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Aquatics Lead to join our team, working across Brio Ellesmere Port and Brio Neston, or alternatively as two part-time roles across the sites. Brio Leisure centres are community hubs for all things fitness and wellbeing. We’re now looking for an Aquatics Lead to take control of the day-to-day operation of our growing aquatics scheme, including our Swim England swimming lessons.
Job Responsibility:
Take control of the day-to-day operation of the aquatics scheme, including Swim England swimming lessons
Assist in the day to day management of the Swim Teachers
Plan, program and review swimming sessions
Ensure sessions are available and attract a range of abilities to maximise income from lessons and aqua classes
Provide the highest quality swimming lessons to the community
Deliver quality Swim England programmes
Build confidence in the water for people of all ages
Work with the Aquatics Officer to coordinate the day-to-day operation and delivery of Brio’s growing Learn 2 Swim Scheme and School Swimming Programme
Assist in maximising income by providing dedicated swimming teaching hours
Provide a high level of good customer service
Assist with the co-ordination and administration of the school swimming programme
Assist the Aquatics Officer in monitoring all classes and waiting lists
Assist the Aquatics Officer in effectively resourcing the school and Learn 2 swim programme
Deliver Swimming Teaching hours per week
Assist the Aquatics Officer with all general duties relating to swimming administration
Ensure Swim England initiatives and guidelines are adhered to
Assist in ensuring that the correct staffing levels are in place
Input information onto in-house systems
Update the social media accounts
Attend outreach events to promote the aquatics offer
Deliver outreach work to local community groups
Communicate with customers with verbal and written communication
Adhere to all company safeguarding practices and processes
Carry out any other relevant duties as required
Requirements:
Swim England Level 2 qualification
Keen interest in swimming and its importance as a life skill
Ability to communicate with both children and adults in a constructive and positive manner
Ability to assist in day-to-day management of Swim Teachers
Ability to plan, program, and review swimming sessions
Ability to assist with coordination and administration of school swimming programme
Ability to assist in monitoring classes and waiting lists
Ability to assist in effectively resourcing school and Learn 2 swim programme
Ability to deliver swimming teaching hours (7 hours per week for full-time, 3.5 hours per week for part-time)
Ability to assist with swimming administration
Ability to ensure Swim England initiatives and guidelines are adhered to
Ability to assist in ensuring correct staffing levels
Ability to input information onto in-house systems
Ability to update social media accounts
Ability to deliver outreach work to local community groups
Ability to communicate with customers verbally and in writing
Adherence to all company safeguarding practices and processes
